We Manufacture for Safety and Quality
We manufacture potassium hydroxide at our state-of-the-art facility in Port Edwards, Wisconsin, United States, which is the third largest facility in North America. Our KOH product is available in both 45% and 50% concentrations suited for a variety of applications, such as agricultural fertilizers, runway de-icing fluid, alkaline batteries, oil and gas, soaps and detergents, and water treatment. Our Port Edwards facility manufactures KOH through an electrolysis process that uses membrane cell technology–the most environmentally friendly cell technology currently available.
Additionally, ERCO’s low sodium grade potassium hydroxide has >7 times lower sodium content versus commercial grade KOH typically found in the industry. This low sodium grade of KOH is ideal for electronics, food, and pharmaceutical applications where a low sodium content (chemical formula “Na”) is critical in the formulation.
